Lavender honey. Doesn’t that sound lovely?! It’s the inspiration for this week’s colour palette. When I’m putting together a colour palette, I started off with a base colour. This is the colour that drives my decisions on what colours to add.
I started off with the purple and built the colours from there. On the colour wheel, it’s what’s known as a “split complementary” palette. As I started to play with those colours, the sage green and the yellow/orange, it reminded me of lavender and honey. Once I had that in my mind, I edited the colours until I had a palette that worked well together and I absolutely loved. I hope you love it too. I hope it inspires you in your own creative projects. Whether that’s choosing fabric for a beautiful quilt, embroidery thread or wool for that next crochet project. Or perhaps for your next design project.
Let me know in the comments what you think. I’d also love to know if there are any colours you’d like to me put in a palette.
I’ve provided the RGB colour hex codes for those of you who would like them. These hex codes are primarily for websites + digital applications such as image/graphics software. Right click to download and save the image to your computer. You can then sample the colours or add the hex code to your graphics software.
